| News, details, current affairs; heard, read, seen. Information bombards us every day,
through different channels. But is this overabundance exhaustive? In this sound
installation by Yann Gioria, the spectator enters a dark space and is immersed in a
storm of sound inputs, pieces of news broadcast on the radio or on television,
barely recognisable because of their density and movement in the space.
Some more distinguishable words, geographically, ethically or politically related,
describing possible positions, fall like raindrops on the audience. The interactivity
between the installation and the spectator reflects the one between information
and user: a communication that reveals its relativity. |
