Venus, the goddess of beauty; in today’s society, a young, tall, slim and photogenic woman, possibly superficial, often anorexic. With subtle humour and self-irony, the Czech choreographer Kristýna Lhotáková – twenty-six years old, and yet already applauded in the best European theatres and festivals – embodies in her irresistible and fascinating dance the ideal of contemporary beauty, as presented by media and fashion shows.
